We Train To Remember

We train in martial arts to remember to become strong, stay strong, get stronger - not just in body because that will fade in time. But to become stronger in character and mind as a parent, partner, sibling, friend, leader, student, citizen, etc. To be a good example to others takes more than just trying to say the right or clever thing or do the right or impressive thing in solely a performative way. It takes reminding, constant reminding from ourself to ourself through consistent action and reflection. Martial Arts constantly reminds us how to be an example, first to ourself, then to others. Remember your worth before others try to “remind” you of their perceived worth of you.
